"why are you inspired by the friendship between a woman who has been repeatedly charged with assault and another who is an anorexic heroin addict?" my higher conscience questions. 
come on, who doesn't dream of having a bestie that they could strut down the catwalk with in gorgeous gowns, and then smoke cigarettes with backstage as they discuss their outfits and dates for the party they're attending? that's why, higher conscience.

hideaway for the heartbroken

after being heavily inspired by Teenage Bedroom and the Do Not Enter Diaries web series, i have decided to re-decorate my room. i think i'll do it in August, as that is when i am next on a long holiday. in the mean time between completing tedious maths homework and having maths homework related emotional breakdowns, i shall begin sourcing, gathering, and begging my parents to buy me the essential materials.

being a visual learner, i first have to collect pieces of visual inspiration that i want my room to be like. so over the next couple of months, some of my posts shall contain or be of pictures of rooms that i adore/cry over/am tempted to squat in.
i've already expressed my intense love for the Jeffrey Eugenides novel and Sofia Coppola film 'The Virgin Suicides' on this fair blog and now i get to document it again!!! the ethereal room of the Lisbon sisters, from its statues of the Virgin Mary to the pastel palettes of it all, is just so wonderfully magical. just like the sisters themselves, i suppose.

(i keep on doing "which Lisbon sister are you?" quizzes and getting Lux and i'm not sure if this is a very good sign!!!)
